I really enjoy the fact that you believe the man to be stupid or otherwise lacking in intellect, but the fact remains that we have chosen a far worse man to be our president then Gore could have ever been. Since he's obviously so stupid, then may I see a show of hands on this board as to the number of our illustrius board members who have graduated from harvard or any other ivy league school for that matter. Mr. PVVikeFan, since you know better than Mr. Gore, and the rest of us, what global warming is, then why dont you explain it to us? I'm dying to know what perspective you have to offer!

The truth is that Mr. Gore is a well informed, well intentioned individual who is still trying to make a positive difference in the world. He's not running for any office, and he's not trying to usurp american values. He's simply trying to speak to the issues that are important to him. What can be so dangerous about trying to preserve a healthy world, so that our children will have a vibrant future. The question, which PVVikeFan has so keenly alluded to, is not whether or not Mr. Gore can "Walk the Walk," it's more or less a question of whether or not mankind is willing to do what is necessary in order to continue its survival on earth.

An economist would indicate that an individual's change in lifestyle would not be so impactful, but a society wide change could produce incredible results. This reminds me of an old african proverb I once heard: "In order to go quickly, you must go alone, but in order to go far, we must go together." Our problem is essentially that we must go a long way in a short while, otherwise our children's generation wont have a world to inherit.

You can lambast Gore for many things, but to target his ideas on global warming in this way are just plain wrong. It seems that the criticism is motivated by a political vendetta, but your hatred of Gore is causing you to miss the larger picture. Global warming is relevant, and it will eventually have an adverse effect on the world. Do the fine folks on this board really deny the existance of global warming? Do you really deny the threat? If mankind continues to industrialize irresponsibly, then we may facilitate our own extinction.

yes im saying global warming as gore states doesnt exist......its a [censored] farce

hes saying taht because the avg temp on earth is up 2 degrees over the last 100 years is "global warming".......no its not......what it means is exactly what i said before......we lost half the trees we had back then......trees equal shade.....shade equals cooler temps by blocking the sun

nothing more.....nothing less

hes trying to brainwash the sheeple in this country by turning that into something much bigger that isnt what he says it is

people on earth had electricity for over 100 years.....yet suddenly its a problem

weve used oil to heat our homes and used gas in our cars for god knows how many years......yet suddenly thats a problem

its all nonsense......think about how stupid this sounds.....hes telling people to unplug appliances when you arent using them.......how moronic is that? really think about it......its idiotic

how people actually listen to this guy is beyond my level of comprehension......he stands in front of a group of people and preaches about how bad SUVs are.......then he gets into on of the 6 that make up his motorcade and leaves

yet some sheeple in this country are dumb enough to buy into this crap

whats going to facilitate our own extinction is the people on this earth who actually believe this [censored] and dont focus on real issues

lest not focus on our own security at home......or keeping jobs in the hands of legal citizens......lets spend our time unplugging lights and the microwave when we arent using them......thats whats wrong with society today

Actually the sheeple are the ones that believe in mainstream ideas...and global warming is more the belief of the few...Sheeple would be the ones who vote for a candidate cuz they believe that if they vote for the other "all the gays will get married" or "they'll take away all my guns"..lol

I dont have a problem with gays getting married it their choice so who cares. And guns do need to be regulated more. Its too easy for someone to get a gun now days.

actually the MSM has been largely responsible for this dolt even being able to preach this nonsensical idea to everybody

Still..the majority of people are skeptical of the idea of global warming. When we all have to learn to swim to get across the yard to get the mail maybe things will change..lol

yes the majority are skeptical because the majority have brains

as long as people have brains and exhibit some display of basic logic and intelligence we will be ok.......when the majority of the people start to buy into idiotic ideas like this......thats whan i will weep for society

Yeah, Gore does it while working for his cause. Only problem is his "cause" is trying to keep attention on himself. If he actually gave a flip about global warming he would put his sorry arse on a commercial flight like "regular" people have to do.
